Join me in supporting Faithful Fools!
I first encountered the Faithful Fools while assisting a workshop entitled Everyday Resiliency. Then, as part of an introductory exercise, I unknowingly chased one of the Fools around the room. Now 14 years later, I’m one of the staff and walking in circles with them. Or more specifically, circumambulating Mt. Tamalpais on September 25, for our Walk ‘n Roll fundraiser
Walking on the sidewalks of the Tenderloin or the trails of Mt. Tam is the same. When I slow down to an unhurried pace, I can reflect on three essential questions: What holds me separate? What keeps me separated? What still connects me? These are the questions we ask ourselves on a Faithful Fools Street Retreat.
What still connects me to the Fools is what I experienced in my first encounter at that workshop- spontaneity, playfulness, joy, and community.
